Have no room in the little Escort Hatchaback to carry my 8' pontoon inlfateable boat inflated. Anyone have or any suggestions where to look for a car top carrier. They used to make them that strapped on to the gutter, but can't find them any more. Any ideas for carrying the inflatabe on top of the car will be greatly appreciated.

deflating and taking apart takes up mor room than strapping to the roof. Tried it yesterday and worked like a charm. Putting the boat on top the car is kind of similiar to throwing a saddle on a horse. Sling it on and cinch it down. People sure look at ya funny going down the road.

Air pump is alway required, always carried. Trying to figue out how to rig a sail now. As windy as it was yesterday I could have made good time across the lake.
