Looking for any recommendations on a guide for a 48-hr trip out of Galveston or Freeport. When is the best time to go a two day trip? Are the guides usually booked solid?

Went on a 48 hour trip out of Port A and it was a blast. Multiple species of fish were caught! Had to book it months in advance though. They fill up pretty fast.

Check with Capt John's out of Galveston.

Or Underwater Expeditions (formerly Capt Elliot's) in Freeport.

You wont get on a 48 hour trip without going on a Charter or Party boat in the GOM.
