yea im 3 foot over....not that i could make it out to holbrook, but just for grins, if you aint allowed to run your big motor why would it matter what size your boat is? is there a lake size limit or is that just the rules?

I'm only 4 inches over.
If you only allow the use of electric power for motivation what difference does it make? Just curious.

I'm a foot and a half over. Dont have an engine on my boat right now. I'm not understanding not using the big motor if you have one. Everyone would be fishing on top of each other because they cant go very far.

The TSWTT was originally developed to provide a competitive tournament opportunity for small craft only (jon boats/kayaks/float tubes ect...). We found that there was a lot of interest from those who had larger, "Bass Tracker" style aluminum boats, so we made the descision to start allowing any boat 17.5' and under the option to fish with us. We really don't want to stray to far away from what this club was designed for,(small boats on small lakes), that's why we decided to limit the boat length to 17.5'. Also, in order to keep as even of a playing field as possible, we decided to keep the "electic power only" rule in effect(which we've had since the beginning).Plus, we only fish small lakes (under 1000 acres), if we allowed 21' bass boats w/ 225's the ability to run all over the lake, it would become crowded and could be a dangerous situation for some of the small craft participants.

I kinda figured the reasoning was along those lines. Thanks for clarifying. Didnt mean to sound like I was bashing your club. I for one know ALL clubs are not created equally.

Makes me wish I still had my 2 man.

I'd fish it if you allowed larger boats, like some have mentioned, not sure what difference it makes, if you make a rule that it is electric motors only, any size boat could fish... they do this A LOT in the north.

Makes for a hilarious launch, especially guys with rigged out jon boats with 101 pound foot controlled TMs on them throwing out a wake!
