Ya, but it worked that night...I've heard that winch story for a long time, but never seen any documented proof, though I'm sure it could be done.....we DID have all our rods, gps's, and stuff inside the room....my son just forgot to get some stuff out of the back box..... ;\)

I bought a herpitologists handling device with the pinchers and handle. It is a pain to carry a snake box but if they pry open the rod locker and get a rattler bite the word will get out real quick. Don't forget to put your pet away in the morning.

Cameron, I think what the fellow was implying is that you guys are doing something different. Look at the last phrase "but haven't heard anything lately". That would sound as if he was giving you guys some good press!

Since I don't sleep the night before a tournament anyways, if I am at a hotel I keep an eye on everything I can see. I would sure love to catch some of these dirt bags in the act.

I can improve on that shot placement a little. How about more towards the center of the body and just below the waist. This is a big problem at Texoma in the marinas also.

I had a dream. I won the lotto. I found land on a local lake. I set up a bass tournament resort and marina with parking for 250, motel rooms with cheap prices, cafe with decent food served at all hours and gated entry with overnight security and camera's to catch any suspicious charecters.
Oh well, I said it was just a dream.

I'm going to set up on em next month. I am thinking about some knee and butt sniping with my 22-250. I can really suck in some light with a 50mm scope.

I'm thinking someone should post up with frozen paintballs and give them a couple of bruises they won't forget that way no "gun shots" are fired.

Fork is notorious for getting hit hard by thieves. Always take your stuff out there. Sorry to hear that ya'll had it happen to you.

That is too sad to hear, however it has been going on for such a long time. I love Lake Fork, however I will not spend the night there unless I stay at "Burning Stump". Every time I go to Fork I hear of someone who had tackle and gear stolen. I would be the first to volunteer to go stake out a few places to catch this cheeseducks!

P.S.> I probably won't be calling the police either....

Hideaway Harbor doesn't seem too bad down there. We were there last weekend. I emptied my boat while the other guys left their rods lying on their boat deck. One even left his wallet and boat keys on the deck. Nothing taken luckily. It might help the guys running the place live right there at the entrance.

Good Times!

Fish hooks attached on the inside of your boxes with steal leaders.... This way your catch will be waiting for you in the morning. No need to rush through your morning coffee to kick his *&%. Take your time, enjoy the moment. After all, a fishing trip is all about having a good time.

I have a place at Sun Eagle and use to feel pretty secure. I went there New Years eve and switched on my flood lights and nothing. I cannot believe that someone is cheap enough to steal light bulbs. They were the yellow coated non bug attracting type and maybe that is why. I have not been able to find them anywhere.

Well folks,At Lake Fork Marina I have seen their security guard roaming around at night in a white lincoln. That car is fully armed to the hilt, and the owner is a hell of a sharpshooter, guess thieves know better than to mess with that place.Thats why it is one of the safest places out there. Not only is he fully armed, but he stands 6'5 and no one would mess with him or the place.know what I mean....he sleeps in his car keeping a keen eye for fellow intruders!!!!
