I have a LMS 480 and when I turn it on a box comes up and says "GPS Not Responding" I have been told that there is a way of rebooting the system but not sure how. Any advice is appreciated Thanks

I've done it but can not remember how. It's more than hold down power button, lots more.

Make sure the connections in the back are good going into the head unit.

Make sure your power connection (wires) for the GPS is still good. And while looking at that make sure the fuse for the GPS power (if you have one) is still good (not blown) and no corrosion there.

You proably have to call Lowrance for the sequence of buttons to push to reset your unit. I beleive that is a last ditch effort. I think you lose your Waypoints on that one (ask that before you do that). And back them up on an SD card.

Hopefully you just lost power or it's not connected to you head unit.

Save your waypoints and trails before you reset. You will have to setup your overlays afterward.

LMS 480 Resets

Soft Reset (Does not delete GPS Data)
1. Turn unit OFF
2. Press and hold the PAGES key
3. Press and hold the PWR key
4. Release both buttons when the USA map appears

Hard Reset (Deletes stored GPS Data such as Waypoints and trails)
1. Turn unit OFF
2. Press and hold the ZIN&ZOUT Keys at the same time
3. Press and hold the PWR key
4. Release buttons when the USA map appears

I appreciate yall's help. I hope it's a fuse or a loose connection so I don't have to reboot the system. Thanks again
