i'm gonna go out of packery again this weekend. Gonna hit up all the rigs that are about 5 miles out. Thinking of trying the liberty ship reef for the hell of it. Anyone else ever fish there before?

I have done really good on snapper and grouper at the liberty during the summer. Have not ever fished there this time of year.

Looking good this weekend...Heading out tomorrow about 25 miles to 45 miles out. You need to get to at least 90 ft of depth for good fishing this time of year. Been hitting good wrecks and rigs at about 20 miles and better once the depth is 100ft. Nice Snapper between 15lbs and 20lbs.

Give you a report tomorrow night!

Good luck all stay safe. If your out tomorrow, try channel 10...Crank-N

I will be departing Bridge Harbor Yacht Club, Freeport around 6am Friday and Saturday mornings unless we chose to do an overnighter. Tom Titus says Kings are busting the surface like wild men at Stetson, 70 miles, catching them on any topwater.
Again give me a holler if last minute you want to jump in. Right now it is just me and Jason.
Crankn maybe we will hook up on Channel 10.
Conditions are near perfect I believe. I am filing float plan with San Dinh of six old geezers and will post a report when return Sunday evening.

Good luck Jeff and wish I wasn't campus touring this weekend with my daughter!

Take some pics of your son's first topwater fish!

Went out today and did real well. 12 Nice snapper between 19inches and 24inches. Good size. Slow on Kings, still too early for much fishing in the gulf. Water Temp was about 65. Lots of grass about 30 miles out!

GOOD LUCK ALL...STAY SAFE...MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SAFETY STUFF...RADIO, JACKETS, FLARES, FOOD, WOMEN, ETC.

Liberty ships are hit hard year round. Not too good now, try others or rigs, humps, holes.

GOOD LUCK!

Thanks ragman, son and I hit it this weekend and we were On THE FISH constantly from arrival to departure, son caught first amberjack, a juvenile but, gave him the struggle of his 9year old life. Full report this evening, conditions were epic Sunday.
No Kings, great snapper evrywhere, fished GC, 32s etc.
