Central Texas Catfish is having our next tournament April 12 at Eagle Mountain Lake. We have added another $1000 to the pay outs. Plus Danny King has added a $100 bounty if big fish is taken with his bait. C J's punch bait has put up $50 if the big fish is taken with his bait.

xgenex,
Do you have to be a member to fish the tourneys? Is it two man....person teams?

Yes you have to be a member which is $25 a year. The entry fee for a reguler tournament is $60 and big fish is $10. One or two man teams 10 pole limit.

I have not participated but I have been to one of the tournies and it was a lot of fun watching them weigh in those big cats at Benbrook... Maybe I can pursuade a buddy of mine join and start giving my money to the winners of these tournaments.

Folks does each team member have to be a member of the organization?

Yes both must be members. However if its a family member like wife son than they are included with your membership. Membership is a family membership.

xgenx,

I have some of the other guys from the tournament staying at our camp that we are just re-opening. Creek Harbor Camp. It is on the NE side of the lake, just north of Indian Creek. We have small cabins here that rent for $40 a night. Let me know if you are interested. We still have some left. Good luck.

Josh

Was curious. After reading about how bad all the boat ramps were I am not for sure if I want to take a chance in taking my boat. Was there any boat ramps there that are worth a darn and don't cost a bundle just to launch the boat at.

Catfishmike,

We have a ramp at Creek Harbor that is in good shape for $5 and one just down the road at Lakview Marina that is really nice for $10. Really all the ramps on EM are pretty good. The only two really bad ones are the free ramps at the end of Peden Road and at Shady Grove park. All the ones at the marinas are in good shape and run from $5 - $20 depending on the marina.
