Try Pecan Creek, with the lake at its current level it is easy to get to and the channel is easy to find. Sandies should be stacked in the creek. Can go a long ways back into the creek.

It is north of the Shady Shores boat ramp. It runs parallel to the south shore of the Baptist encampment, called Camp Copass on my map. The creek is south of your first picture. The creek runs west.

You can make it around fine up there in that flat bottom.

That's it. The channel has several S turns in it before it necks down. This creek has a tendecy to be several degrees warmer because the water flowing into it comes from a Denton water treatment plant. The channel was clearly marked with overgrowth of brush on the banks. Once you find the channel it is easy to stay in. If you have any questions you can PM me and I'll give you my cell. Need to get in there before the rains come. You can go quite a ways up into the creek. I have been as far as you can go in a 21' bass boat.

Denton water treatment plant... hmmm, makes me think twice about keeping Sandies from that creek.

You first photo is of the elm fork of the trinity, which is impossible to get up in a boat. There is a lot of silt or sand at the mouth of the creek that has made it real shallow, and if you did get past it, there is or was a log jam that's about 100 yards long a little south of 380. Zoom in closer with your earth viewer and you can see it.

The second photo, yes you can go under the 380 bridge in your boat. Good crappie fishing up there.
I live in Oak Point and I cannot find where the Elm Fork empties into LL. It just gets too shallow for my boat.
I need to check out the Pecan Creek area next time I'm out.

That aint the only treatment plant that dumps in there. Lake Dallas does too. I'm sure there are others.
