Knot at work, makes sense - portable and easy to store.

FYI - Did not fish the weekend as of yet. Once the weather clears, will be back out again. For the time being, tied fishing flies. Will post results next chance I get.

Pictures posted in the link below. Calling it a Wooly Spider because it combines a Wooly Bugger and a Foam Rubber Spider. Crossing my fingers it produces.

Fished Russell Creek Park's Pond this morning. Caught Sunfish/Bluegill flyfishing the Wooly Spider and a Prince Nymph. Did get several strikes from Bass but was unable to set the hook. May need to make adjustment on the hook-size of the Wooly Spider.

Nice cool morning to fish, enjoyed the company of a Bird that wanted a snack or two. Picture of today's catch and a Bird slideshow posted in the link below.

Fished Bethany Lakes' Feeder Creek this morning. Caught Bluegill/Sunfish flyfishing the Wooly Spider. Did have a couple of strikes from Bass but again was unable to set the hook. Seems that the Bass are swallowing the fishing fly but immmediately spit it out. Will keep trying and reporting results. Pictures posted in the link below.

Fished Bethany Lakes' Back Pond this evening. Caught two small Bass and Bluegill/Sunfish flyfishing the Wooly Spider. Had several hook-ups on two larger Bass but lost them after a short fight.

Changed things with the Wooly Spider, tied it using Krystal Flash for the tail, Pearl Chennile for the body, and White Rubber Legs. Also, replaced the size 10 Streamer hook with a size 8 Streamer hook. Pictures posted in the link below.

Fished a new place - Archgate Park Pond in Plano. Pond has a lot of trees and vegetation that limit access and makes it tough flyfishing. Managed to catch a 5" Bluegill and a 12" Bass using the Wooly Spider in Pearl Chennille. Pictures posted in the link below.

Fished Bethany Lakes this morning. More of the usual except hooked and lost a nice Bass. Was flyfishing a variant of the Wooly Spider; modified by adding weighted eyes and tied Clouser-style.

Calling it a Wooly Spider Clouser. Was using a 4lbs test tippet and subsequently broke-off. Switched to the Foam Rubber Spider variant and caught Bluegill/Sunfish. Pictures posted in the link below.

FYI: Did see others catching Bass with a nice one caught on spinfishing gear.

Went back to Bethany Lakes this evening. Caught a Sunfish on a Wooly Spider Clouser and lost a Bass, breaking off my fishing fly.

Cut the trip short and tied more Wooly Spiders. Used lead-wire to weight them in lieu of the dumbell eyes. Pictures posted in the link below.

FYI for you community lake (under 75 acre)fisherman. I was in the .uh..reading room flipping through this years TPW book I picked up when I got this years license. I came across this as new for this year.

Community Fishing Lake: All public impoundments 75 acres or smaller located totally within an incorporated city limits or a public park, and all impoundments of any size lying totally within the boundaries of a state park.

* Special fishing regulations apply to these small lakes.
Community Fishing Lakes (except reservoirs totally within state parks)

* For channel and blue catfish, no minimum length. Daily bag=5 in any combination.
* Fishing is by pole and line only. Anglers may use no more than two poles while fishing.
^^^^^^ 2 pole limit ^^^^^
