I sent the Mayor an e-mail, so if he responds, I will let everyone know.

The COE controls the lake so the mayor would not be able to do anything about it if he wanted to, except maybe dive down and look at it,I would hope they leave it alone because I want to fish it this summer,if you take that dolphin boat down there you better know where it is or you will likley to run into it and become a high dollar crappie condo.

The dolphin sub will have to wait. I am aiming for one of these first - just have to figure out how to camouflage it! http://www.sub-find.com/neptus60.htm

Looking at those pictures, I expect to see the tag line "Houston, the Eagle has landed. One small step for man..."

Placidpeninsula, you could get the sud first and scout locations for the condo,my luck I would forget where I lived and rush out the front door of the lower level and drown, you can have the underwater stuff I will stay above and observe.

A friend of mine tagged this with his sailboat last summer when GV was down 14'. And as Skeeter175 said here, it's almost 100 yds from the marker.

It's the first I've heard of this thing. I suppose that's the marker I saw over on the west end. I thought it was just a low water marker because it gets shallow quick over there.

From what I can tell the top of it is about 14'-15'off the bottom and the largest part is about 10' off the bottom,in 30' of water so at 14' low it will be real close to the surface,I am suprised more sailboats have not caught it as deep as they draw, and I would say it is closer to 250 yards from the marker.

I was told what we are looking at is a dragline excavator. There are supposedly a few other pices of equipement, but no dump trucks. A few guys in the Parks Dept. said they would ask around to see if someone knew for sure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragline

I think what we are looking at is a really old crappie condo and I hope they leave it alone.

Looking at the side view it sure does look like snag city to me at that depth.I think I might have to try a slip bobber or something to keep it out of that mess down there.

Snag city=good fishing. Maybe not for crappies but surely for something.
