This is a new reel from Daiwa that is available only at Bass Pro Shops. I recently got a few and immediately I was very impressed with the looks of the reel itself. It is a smaller sized low profile reel that is coated similar to the Daiwa Steez. It features a subdued black coating along with drilled black metallic spool. While a tad heavy at 9.3oz it features a free floating spool, MagForce Z cast control and a swept handle. The frame is aluminum and it has 11 bearings along with a roller bearing. The fact that the handle has bearings makes it ultra smooth on the retrieve.Another good feature is the auto clutch which allows you to push up on thumb bar to engage reel when flipping or pitching.
I keep thinking I have found the reel that will make up the majority of my general purpose use from Daiwa but they just keep releasing more great reels. Initially I thought the Zillion was gonna do it all then they put out the TD Advantage HSTA which I absolutely love and now we have the TD Pro. Each one of these reels are excellent in my opinion. It all comes down to how much you want to pay.
I used it quite extensively during a tournament yesterday and I was really surprised at its performance. It casts very well and very smooth. I threw crankbaits from 1/4-1/2 oz with ease. Its smaller profile makes it easy to palm and once you get it dialed in it is very nice. I did not want to put it down. Retrieve was very smooth and the drag is top notch. It has so many features that the high end Daiwa reels have that I am beginning to think Daiwa is gonna hurt themselves with these mid priced reels being so good. Its a lot of reel for a small price.
I pretty well expect this reel to cover 99% of my cranking and spinnerbait uses. I will be adding more very soon. I am a big fan of the TD Pro and at $119.95 they are a steal. BPS has them now for $99.95 and with the reel trade in they are about $85.00 which makes them a bigger bargain.

Mark, Since you set up the Daiwa Fuego reel and the T7 Cara rod during the Arlington Tackle Show I have become a Daiwa convert! I went nuts and took advantage of the reel trade in @ BPS. I bought 2 of the Zillion's and 3 of the TD Pro 100's. I absolutely love these reels, they are some of the smoothest I have ever used. I put all of them on Falcon Lowriders, each with a different action.

Glad you like them. You picked up some very nice rods and reels.

I saw these at BPS over the weekend and it's a very nice reel. If it's 1/2 as nice as my HTSA, it's a great reel.
