You might look at the Kenner VX models. A no-frills center console. I have the 19VX and use it for just about everything including pulling the grand kids around on their inner tubes when not fishing. price is right and the Kenner line has been around a long time.

I recently bought a multi species boat from James down at Uncle Gus in Clifton. Its a Champion walk through, 18.5, 150 Yamaha, deep v. real good quality. It wasn't cheap but it was the one I wanted after looking for about 5 years. Worth a look.

The kind of boat you want depends on what you want to do with it. I wanted to be able to go out when I could not necessarily when the weather was just right. Saftey, quality and performance were my main concerns. Good luck.

Also if you want rod holders, don't install any until you check out Beeready.com. I wish I had.

That link doesn't take you to anything related to fishing.

I love my Godfrey fun deck fish boat. It now has 8 flush mounted rod holders on it. It has a 125 Mercury OB and it can also pull a skier. When it is really hot out, it has a canopy on it so I don't get a sunburn to bad. It also comes with a nice change room it is called that I put a porta potty in it. I also have a 24 V trolling motor i put on it when i know I am going fishing and not just goofing off at the lake. It also comes with a built in live well and a built in tackle box.

I would have to sway towards the Lund boats. Good and deep to keep small ones from falling overboard, handles the chop without much spray in the boat. Bimini tops available. Its a good fishing boat for multispecies but not if you want to do pleasure type stuff, like put skiers etc. I bet it is hard to get in and out of,

As strange as it may sound, I am going to disagree about the center console as the "best all around" for the species listed. I own a Pathfinder, and it's great for the things I do, but if I wanted to target crappie on brushpiles, it would be hard to stay on them with a t-motor because CCs catch wind and draft shallow, at least the ones I have owned do. For crappie fishing, I would prefer a boat to sit in, not sit on. The Lund is a great choice, as would be the Ranger Fisherman and that type of boat. For stripers, depending on the body of water, CCs are great. For bass fishing, again the Lund would be a better choice especially in any kind of wind.

I prefer the CC over other boats because I fish saltwater, and I don't see many CCs with foot controlled t-motors, because of the salt element. Trying to stay on a brushpile with a tiller t-motor isn't fun. With stripers, you can generally find them in open water by drifting shad or trolling, and the Lund would do that well also.

If I was going to fish freshwater only, I would have a Lund style boat.
