Mauji Jims for sure...I can't fish without them, and I don't just use them for sight fishing..If you are fishing a crankbait or flipping, it is often times I will see a big boulder, laydown, or other piece of cover that I wouldn't have seen without the glasses. One of the best investments in fishing!

Agree with Rob Jasper, Solar bats only way to go. I buy strictly on site fishing and the moss back green lens are the best. Its great that I don't have to worry if its sunny or cloudy. Plus their not too expensive and they fit good to had mine over a year still not scratched or anything.

Anyone that says sunglasses are a waste of money is an absolute idiot!!You only have one pair of eyes ,nevermind the ability to see in the water, sunglasses will save your eyes!!! Dont buy a cheap pair like someone suggested you get what you pay foe . How much are your eyes worth? Its hard to believe a guy will spend $40,000.00 plus for a boat and buy a pair of $6 walmart sunglasses!

Does anyone have the Solar Bat sensors or revs in the moss back? I know that they are on the lower end of shades but seem to be the frames that I like the best. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

How many of ya'll wear sunglasses while sight fishing,
Is that some kind of smart [censored] question? Your asking a blind man here. Sight Fishing your Mommy.
Whats the best kind?
The very darkest ones. Are they really worth it?
You would be paying me to ware them if you saw me without them.
I'm just yanking your chain, PolarEyes - Islay model.

I own a pair of Costa's, Oakley, Maui's. I was told the Costa's were the best on the market. Dont think so. I hardly wear them I usually let the wife wear them when she goes out in the boat with me. Mainly becuase they are uncomfortable and I dont care for the styles. Now the Maui's are light and you can barely feel them on your head. But as far as glare factor the just dont measure up to the Oakleys. I have the Romeo 2 polorized and the only thing I would change on these is make them a little lighter. But they are by far my favorite. And unfortunately the most expensive at around $400. And lake Texoma has two Oakley Romeo 2 in it as well. That lake seems to claim all my sunglasses LOL.
I would pick the Maui Jims over the Costa as well but as far as polarized they are about the same.
Best advise I can give anyone is go to a shop that has multiple sunglasses to choose from and pick the ones that fit the best on YOUR head and fits in your price range. I have grown up wearing oakleys anything else just feels awkward.

I prefer Costa's. For the guys who are loosing glasses, you can get a laniard for $1.50. Seems like a small price to pay to save $150.00 pair of shades.

There has been more than a few times I've seen things underwater and reacted and got crazy looks from everyone else in the boat. I've also answered the "why are we fishing here" question several time by letting the someone borrow my shades for a few seconds. I have a perscription so all my glasses are expensive. Makes it very painfull to lose them. (1) pair Oakleys on the bottom of Fort but they were pre perscription. (1) pair perscription Bole lost off my face while riding a motorcyle on I-35. Scary.

Okay now for those who wear prescription glasses, what sunglasses do you suggest for those people, Cocoons? I have to get a pair that go over my prescription glasses. (progressive lens) I would prefer a pair not too heavy.

I have astigmatism, far sighted in one eye, near sighted in another, and use progressive lens...to get a sunglass prescription would be WAY over 150 dollars for me. Maybe by now the other eye went far sighted too, that would be better...LOL.

I used to always buy 10-15 dollar sunglasses because they were cheap, then I would always end up losing them, once I bought and expensive pair which are a 100 times better, I keep up with them because they are expensive and I dont want to lose them.
