Beautiful day to be fishing, but the fish had other ideas ... we worked from Deadmans point to twin poles on drifts & only had four fish for the day between us. HUGE schools of sandbass (and some I'm sure were hybrids) marking from 34-40 feet of water. Hoping that they'll decide to eat on Thursday, as that's my next/last chance to go out for awhile.

We were using smallish white slabs, getting very subtle strikes just off the bottom.

Oh, Boooooob, the water was even higher at the courtesy dock today! When we went past the two poles, I'd swear I could even see that they were further underwater ... can you say "flooding in 2008"?

LL, GV, and RR are all over their conservation pool and into their flood pool. Here we go again...

I got on the water yesterday with B.B and we fished from 3-5 and we didn't get a bump. we marked bait fish but nothing hungry for a slab.

Uggg.. that's not what I wanted to hear!

We finally managed one after dropping you of Superman. Marissa caught it and what a beast it was. It had to go at least 5 inches and weigh close to 4 ounces!!!!! A Lewisville Magnum!!!!! But at least we weren't shut out. I'm going for a couple hours this evening, and might make a long day of it tomorrow. The lake is gonna turn on any day now!!!!!

You are right about lake Lewisville rising, I take the dog to Pilot Knoll park every day and I have been watching land disappearing, the water is about up to the road again and half of the boat ramp is already underwater, it's up at least three feet or more and with storms forecast this weekend. The Corp needs to start letting water out before we see a repeat of last year.

I don't think the fish have got over last years flood, they are still wondering around the lake.

I'm heading out the door in about an hour ... will see if the sandies are ready to bite yet!

i went out on tuesday morning..did not catch a fish..blamed it on the fog which did not lift until well after 10 am..bait was VERY hard to catch..no wind at all...we went to every spot i knew...fished until about 1 pm...that makes two weeks in a row with very bad fishin after just catching a cooler full of hybrids 3 weeks ago????????
