Hey guys-
My dad, brother, and I are fairly new to bay fishing. We love fishing the PINS Surf from the shore and I love bass fishing. We bought a 22' Century(pics on my site in signature) and are ready to do some bay fishing. We have seen where guys are sitting on flats and sight casting to tailing reds and we would love to do this some time. I know the basics of what to throw and such, but I am unsure of how to find fish and stay with them through tides and such. We would love to catch reds, but if the trout are biting better that would work too. We are headed down the 21st to the Laguna Madre area, but do not yet have a location locked in so suggestions are welcome. I am happy to be bombarded with info so if there is anything you think I should know just throw it out there. Thanks guys.

Upper Laguna or Lower Laguna? Since you are talking about PINS, I will assume you want to be around the Corpus and Port A area. There are plenty of flats around the area...PLENTY! Staying on fish throughout the tides is pretty tough from Round Rock. As for finding places to fish and finding fish, I would advise you to get a hook-n-line map, they are a great start...finding fish takes a little more knowledge. As always, look for slicks, feeding birds, and surface disturbances made by fleeing baitfish... These are all signs of fish. I havn't been to CC in a few weeks, but we were on fish for two days in the intercoastal at the dropoff. I am heading down there Wednesday until Sunday and plan to fish twice a day each day, so if you PM me to remind me, I will be happy to tell you what was working for me and where.

Thank you very much. I will shoot you a PM Wednesday morning. Anybody else? Where would you guys suggest launching? I think I can find that on the map, but do you guys have any favorite spots?
