Mine's an itty-bitty in comparison: 2000 Ford Explorer, 4.0 SOHC V6, automatic, 3.55 rear-end, 2WD Normal city mileage approx 17-18mpg Normal highway mileage approx 21-22mpg Towing mileage approx 14-16mpg, but I'm not hauling a huge boat - just an 18' CC. Best feature is the car loan - there is none, as it's PAID FOR!

I think "some" of you guys are full of *&%^, I agree with the comment about "the 2 things a guy will lie about". I have had a new 1998 Chevy p/u, a new 2000 chevy p/u, a new 2002 chevy p/u, a new 2004 dodge diesel, and now a new 2006 dodge diesel. Almost everybody I ask got or gets better mileage than I do. There is no way I can be that unlucky and have the worst mileage truck ever built from that manufacturer for that particular year, and before you say something about my driving style that is a bunch of [censored] too, I have not had a speeding ticket in over 13 years nor an accident, so don't tell me it is my driving style.
Year Make, and Model of Vehicle? 2006 Dodge 2500 quadcab
Diesel or Gas? Diesel
Size of Engine? 5.9L
Type of Transmission? Auto
Rear End Ratio? 3.73?
2WD or 4WD? 4wd
Average MPG? 16.2 (hand calculated every tank)
MPG while towing? 14.4 (hand calculated)

I hate to tell you rodbender it is your driving habits, I can get anywere from 10 to 20mpg out of my truck while empty, driving habits have all to do with it. My dad hasnt had a speeding ticket or accident in over 20 years, and I get better mpg on average than he does in it.

1986 Chevy Silverado Single Cab 305 V-8 (gasoline) 3 speed automatic 2wd 3.08 Rear end 15.98 MPG empty highway 8 MPG towing 24 foot Pontoon boat 10 MPG towing 20 foot ski boat 12 MPG towing 10 foot utility trailer with Kubota tractor She ain't as pretty as she once was, but 19 years (come June 1, 2008) without any payments (except insurance) covers a lot of ugly. I'm looking at getting a 1992 - 1996 Oldsmobile wagon (1992 on that), Buick Roadmaster wagon, or a Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham to save on gas...They tow 7,000 lbs if equipped right, so might be worth it....Sometimes you gotta think outside the box, right? However, I'll never get rid of Big Red

1995 Toyota pickup 2.4l 4 cyl. gasoline 2wd 5-speed not sure on the gears avg. 23 mpg don't tow far enough to calculate mpg while towing, but my guess would be mid-teens.

Hmmm a supercharged v-8 throwing up better numbers than just about anything out there, I dont buy it. Do you live at the top of a mountain and only check it at the bottom?

2005 Chevy Silverado Ext Cab
4X4 Z71
5.3 V8
Automatic
4:10 Gears
I'll get 17-18 driving 60-65 and I'll get 16 driving 70
I average about 16.5 every fill up.
Pulling a boat I'll get around 13-15 going 60.
I found that 60 mph is the magic number for optimal fuel mileage for my truck.

2003 H2 Hummer 12mpg highway 12mpg city 12mpg pulling my Triton 18 explorer. 12mpg pulling 4 horse trailer loaded
My mpg never changes in the Hummer, but it is just used for towing now. It pulls so well I have to remind myself I am pulling something.
