Picked this up from my Dad's yesterday. Used to belong to my Grandfather. I'll be taking it out to the lake where I used to fish with him (my grandfather, that is, I still fish with my Dad). Should make for a nice day.

I have 12 old bamboo and fiberglass rods, some as old as 100 yrs. I'm the last of a family of fly fishers. I've fished all but two and found that if the rod is rated for a HDH (6 wt double taper) go down one size if you are going to use a weight forward line. Those old rods are pretty limber compared to what we have now and you might crack it if you load it too much. Great tip on modifying the stroke, they throw differently.

Mostly around Plano but will go any where there is water. Just love to fly fish cuz it takes my mind off every thing else. Takes concentration and relaxes me. I like that. I'd like to meet up some time and wet a line. Let me know.

hmmmmm, I have never cast glass but If it is as slow as my sage ds then I am sure I can hang

hmmmmm, I have never cast glass but If it is as slow as my sage ds then I am sure I can hang slower, think slower... and you can hang just relaxxxxx........

Automatic reel.... NICE... I got one from ebay a few years ago. I have 7wt line on it now. It definitly has its benefits.
