I am a college guy in Abilene and I fish Fort Phantom regularly using Danny Kings punch bait or shad. I also hit Kirby Lake sometimes. Is there a gold mine somewhere around here that I don't know about?

Lake Stamford and Lake hamlin use to be really good

not to far from Abilene there is a small town called baird take a ride down there it is about 20 miles but worth the ride there are two small town lakes one is the baird lake the other is the t&p lake witch is an old railroad lake the catfishing on both of theise lakes is fantastic they don't see much pressure and have some very large fish in them good crappie and bass in the t&p lake too.stop at robinsons smoke house on 20 to find out how to get in there you won't find eithr lake by your self

hubbard creek on over at breckenridge is a decent cat lake as well as the others that were mentioned ... ft phantom is bout as good as the next one though
