Hey all, I just moved to Denton and got my first flyrod for christmas. Anybody willing to share some thoughts of places I can fish around the Denton, DFW area, from shore/wading? Also, if anybody's ever looking for a new fishing buddy sometime, by land or boat, let me know, I'd be more than happy to pitch in for gas. Thanks!

Northerner, You'll really like the rod. I have an 8' 5 wt that is great. Pretty much my go to rod. Works really well for a more relaxed or beginning casting stroke.

Ray Roberts must have some good spots. Hoping some of the other fellas who know it will chime in. Also keep an eye out for likely creeks in the area. No telling what you are driving over on your way to work etc. \:\) Local bait stores can be a good source as well. Pop in, buy some stuff and ask "oh by the way, I just moved here and..."
