Get up early and run as early as you feel comfratable. Throw your fav top water as long as you want to and then switch to a soft plastic.

I've always been of the school that fishing a falling tide is the way to go....when the water begins to move out the game fish will stack up or patrol the current at the edge of the cut waiting for shrimp and small bait fish to wash by in the stream. Same goes for marsh drains and grass flats
