We caught about 30 to 40 yesterday. Nothing real big. Most 14 to 19 inches. Tons of shad are available for the Stripers and Whites to eat. We saw shad swimming everywhere. A few White Bass are starting to show up.

Not sure if this will help for planning future trips but have included links to Denison Dam's Real Time Release and Generation Schedule in the first URL listed below.

The Real Time Release is delayed two hours but it is enough to get an idea what the pattern has been for releasing water/generating power.

Hope it helps others.

Thanks for posting those. The problem is that whoever pushes the button to start generating still has not been advised that there is a schedule or possibly don't know that they are supposed to follow it!

I've showed up enough times to find that the schedule had flown out the window to have given up on consulting it.

Again, not to rain on your efforts but those guys simply don't hold to what they post.

Still, its good to take a chance and head up there in case there is some good fishing.

Agree, the Generation Schedule changes without notice. This is the main reason why I rely on the Real Time Release. Also, found out that the Real Time Release is delayed 15" to 30" and not two hours as I posted previously.

Good to know for those that live within reasonable driving distance.

I have updated the posting on the link and also provided an example of what was generating today as of 6:30PM.

Note: The Real Time Release schedule is not typically updated on the weekends.
