You might be a full time fishing guide!

Many of you may think that being a full time fishing guide would be fun, easy, and the best job ever. Others may think that it’s the toughest way to make a living. Well, your both right!

If you enjoy having to cancel trips due to bad weather, then you might be a Full time fishing guide!

If you live in Texas and it’s 80 degrees on Saturday and then snows on Monday and runs the fish to Mexico, then you might be a Full time fishing guide!

If you stress out at night when you cant find the fish and cancel your trips until you do find them, then you might be a Full time fishing guide!

If you get so mad at the fish that you want to hurt them, then you might be a Full time fishing guide!

If your really just a hard headed guy that wants to make a living doing something you love, then you might be a Full time fishing guide!

If you love to fish 24/7 and do everything the hard way, then you are definitely qualified to be a Full time fishing guide.

And lastly if you just love to teach others, even complete strangers, how to catch fish then you could be a Full time fishing guide.

Good luck in your career choices! I do what I love!

Thanks everyone for a great 2007. I wish everyone a great 2008!

Chuck,

Couple of more thoughts on the subject! \:\)

If you fish 6 days a week (and sometimes 2 trips a day)from March thru May, and still wake up before the alarm rings at 5AM, you might be a Fishing Guide ( or just stupid)! \:\)

I often tell folks if you love what you're doing, you never work a day in your life!

Can't say that for the first 30 years in the Corporate World of Meeting Rooms and Airports, but the last 8 years have been
AWESOME!!! Plus...my Son is my Business Partner! Don't get much better!

Chuck...Mike Drain called and is taking his Son out next week with us! Thanks for the referral!

I have called more trips this year for wind than ever. It is usually always a little windy in late Winter through the Spring, but I can't remember a year that has been THIS WINDY!!

A few years back I came up with some along the same lines.
You might be a redneck guide was what I called it though.

Like, if your boat will run 70 mph and your truck will only do 50,,,,,,you might be a redneck guide.

If your boat cost twice as much as your house...........

If you can remember all the names of the ShareLunker fish but cant remember you kids names.............

If you have ever shouted "set the hook" in your sleep..........

If you have Chartreuse fingers and smell like garlic........

If you know how to spell "Chartreuse".......

If your tan lines are on your face..........

If you can decipher exactly how deep that crankbait will run using a particular lb test line with a certain gear ratio reel and speed of retrive but cant remember your anniversary..........

I could go on and on but just one more,

If you have ever replaced the tires on your boat trailer and rotated those tires to your truck and then took your truck tires and made a fish habitat out of em,,,,then you ARE a Redneck Guide!!!

P.S. if you notice that "Lakeguide" posted at 5 this morning....

Some funny stuff there!!!!! My saying is "Being a fishing guide is the most expensive job I have ever had!!" Sure is a fun job, though.

Right there with ya Chuck! Good Post!

A few more..

If your wife complains of "Itches" in the bed and finds Shad scales-You might be a FT fishing guide

If you are on a first name basis with the Hybrids-You might be a FT fishing guide.

If you wife has finally decided that the fish smell that totally covers you "smells like a good day"-You might be a FT fishing guide.

If you have had a cortisone shot for you overworked rotator cuff-You might be a FT fishing guide.
