it used to be a great pond. However the city ripped out the fallen timber and the dang poachers killed my favorite pond, there used to be so many good fish in there.

My grandparents lived off of Rosevelt dr. Just down the street from Pappy Elkins. That's where I caught my first fish. circa 1975!! We used to go down there all the time in the 70s and 80s. But I haven't fished it since they moved from there in 1991. I know this info doesn't help as far as the original question goes.... I just thought it was cool that you guys where talking about the neat little lake where I caught my first fish.
I live down the road from there and have been fishing there for years, and haven't caught a dang thing. I keep going back because I'm determined to find fish in there.

I know what you mean. I live about 5 minutes from there and have fished it quite a few times. The only thing I ever caught was 4 cat fish that looked like they should be in your home aquarium, about 4 inchs long.
