Where is the biggest private lake in Texas?

Not sure, but it's a reasonable bet that it is owned by TXU.

My guess would be Kurth Lake owned by Abitibi. 560 acres

Don't know if it is the largest, but Merritt(private) is listed twice in the Texas top 50 LMB with two fish over 15 pounds.

cherokee in e.tx is pretty big. i dont know how "private" it is. you have to be property owner and have a sticker on the boat but there are boat ramps you can get to without gates and whatnot. the lake patrol will run you off, so i guess you can call it private. my friend has a place out there so i get to fish it often, big fish kill last year so numbers and quality are way down, but its a pretty/big lake.
