I'm working on a program (presentation) with live demo's from local lakes. I will form a SI users group and we can meet at the local BBQ place for a demo and explanation of what we are seeing.

Anyone interested.

To the top one more time I don't have one of these units YET but some guys in the Bass section were talking about how it works and this is one of the best demonstrations I have seen. Great job making it make sense Ernest. thumb

thanks for the bump , i have been wanting to see this one
again.
If anyone has JP's ear, I think there is enough
interest in these units to justify a new section on
SI.
I have about 12 hours on the water with mine, it has
already produced good results.
good luck

So where are the fish in that sonar picture?.. are those little white dots the fish?

Can you change the scope of the beam?... meaning can you make the relief right below the boat more detailed?

How much? Is there a great difference in the 997 & 797?
Looks like a $1,000.00 difference in price.
I know these may be dumb questions but I am new to the world of sonar. I guess I am pretty outdated as the boat that I recently purchased is equipped with 2 535's.
