I like to pan fry it (canola oil, light coat on pan), break up the fillets and mix with taco seasoning and make taco. Low fat and good to eat.

My wife used some recipie that called for sour cream. The sour cream overpowered the fish.

Any recipe that works for crappie, bream, bass etc works for tilapia. I usually bake it basted in butter and lemon pepper though.

This is excellent! My Kids Love it!

Bronzed Tilapia I have cooked it in the oven @400 degrees, on the stove and on my gas grill @400 degrees using a cast iron griddle. Grilled is my favorite.

Any major supermarket should have it. I believe it's called Chef Paul Prudhomme's Blackened Redfish Magic.

Yep. I've found it at all the grocery stores. Best blackening spice out there.

Raspberry Chipotle sauce and then on the smoker for a couple of hours. Mesquite wood with red wine, lemon, lime and a couple of sprigs of rosemary in the water pan.
Put a couple of onions and bell peppers to cook in the water pan also.
I usually do a couple of tilapia and salmon this way.

Easiest and best way is to get a skillet really hot, throw about 3-4 pats of unsalted butter into the skillet, sprinkle a little bit of Tony's on both side and cook for about 4 mins each side until golden brown.

I actually liked the tilapia. Had never had it before. Just got to find a better way to cook it. Some recipies go way overboard with the stuff they use.

I tried the Redfish Magic and it is very good. Very similar to the Bronzed Tilapia recipe but, seems to have red pepper or a little spicier. My kids and wife said it was ok but, too spicy for them. They prefer the Bronze. I like spicy stuff so the RM was great for me since I didn't have to make the recipe. Just open the jar and sprinkle it on.
