If you want to fish a tourney, you should come out and try this. Come to the gathering the night before and meet some good guys and some good fishermen. You won't regret it. I think the fishing at lewisville is about to get really good and I hope to see some monsters brought to the scales.

hey pugly my wife and i went out with http://www.stevesprofessionalguideservice.com on 02-27-08 and caught 10 and 7 over 20 lbs and 1 35.5 lbs check out the picts i would think tourney boys could do better than a girl and a rookie lol good luck to all. if any help is needed i live 5 min from little e park and would be willing to help

Haven't decided on whether I'll make them out there or ahead of time, but you're right. They are greatness. I'd even have to go as far as saying they're better than a fish fry and bbq combined, and we all know that big country puts out the best gathering bbq out there. They're just that good.

Well to make the proper medical announcement like they do on TV for the phamacuetecal industry......these Big Country taters would definitely not be on an approved cardiac diet. So for those under the care of a cardiologist, we gonna require a release from the doc afore ya gets to wrap yore taste buds around one of these delisioso culinary treats!

I plan to make this one, I scheduled a half-day off at the job Fri. night. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the get together and meet some people but plan to make the tourney. Lookin forward to it. Hope to put some names with faces. Will there be a sniper available at the launch site to dissuade another attempt to hi-jack boats ? I still can't believe someone tried to steal a boat from a redneck gathering like a catfish tourney .

Is the launch/weigh-in gonna be at the Little Elm park?

Can we pre-register on Friday? Where at if so? Do we have to meet over at Little Elm Saturday Morning? Can we trailer to another ramp?

If you attend the gathering on Friday night you will be able to pre register. We ask that everyone launch from little elm park, if your boat is stored on the lake, you can drive your boat to the ramp for boat checks. We will allow trailering if weather causes saftey issues.

I plan on being there.....If I were to have a chance at winning one it would be there..just have to cosider the cost....verse making sure money...I am not sure I have a trip as of yet but most sat. are booked ...cosidering I dont fish on Sundays I really need to fish as many sat. as I can ...maybe the weekdays will start filling up and make it easier for me to skip a trip...I love fishing the tourneys....and miss the fellowship of all the guys......will do my best to be there...good luck this weekend everyone and be safe out there...will be thinking of you guys.....

It's almost here!

Hope the weatherman is wrong about the rain. Calls for 20% chance for rain. Hope it don't mean 100% in 20% of the area. Still plenty of time for him to be wrong. Unfortunately he's usually right when I don't want him to be.

It always seems like the weather man hits it dead on when I was planning on going fishing. If I would happen to change my plans to do something else then the weather seems to change also and I regret not going fishing. lol But it also seems like the weatherman is a little shy on the wind speed it seems like. At least when ever I take the boat out anyway.

will anybody be selling shad at the tournament? if not, will it be easy to catch shad/

not worried about the weather at this point but safety is always FIRST and trailoring will be allowed if needed, you will be notified early at little elm sat morning at the registration. the shad man will not make it but i dont see shad being a real bad issue especially with the warm up.lewisville last year was 10mph wind ,rain and a high of 35. so this year looks better already.lol.

The Noaa weather station is now calling for 40% rain Sat. Wind is suppose to be shifting Fri. also. Good news is the rain is not suppose to be here until after 1:00 Sat. afternoon.

OK Ya'll, the gathering for this tourney will be at my home, 1106 Country Lane, Allen 75002. Figure there will be about 20 folks in attendance. See ya this Friday or Saturday. Ya'll be safe and catch lots of fish!!

It was good to see everyone again. Thanks to the guys at NTTC for putting on a great tournament. Fishing was tough today, but managed to pull together a 30 lb stringer of fish that put my brother and I in 5th. I forgot to write down the final order. I'm sure someone will post the results soon.
