To charge both the Starter battery and the TM battery, two batteries at once, I don't think so.

You can do it but the gain won't be much at all unless you drive around a lot. All you would have to do is a parallel hookup.

Yes it can be done,BUT it means you would also draw on both batteries when using the TM. Plus you would add to the load of the big engines altenator. It was not made for that type of constant load, and will shorten it's life. Had you looked into one of the solar chargers on the market. They charge all day long. No they can not keep up with what you use,but it would give you some extra time.

Pro Xtra 2 @ Cabelas or BPS -- hooks up to charge your TM batteries when running the outboard. I think Stay-In-Charge has the same thing.

I have used the Pro Xtra for 2 years and it definately extends my time on the lake.

PX2 12 Volt to two 12 Volt Auxilliary Batteries
The Dual Pro ProXtra II Onboard Charger is a marine unit which takes engine alternator output from the starting battery when the engine is in use, and passes it to two auxilliary 12 volt batteries, which may be wired in series for 24 volts, as in a typical trolling motor installation, or wired in parallel. This maximizes run time available from the auxilliary batteries. The ProXtra II portion does not start the current flow until the starting battery reaches a factory preset voltage, and then monitors the starting battery, and shuts off current flow to the secondary batteries, if the starting battery starts to lose voltage. When the auxilliary batteries reach a preset voltage, the unit shuts off.

I didn't know that,

Minn Kota and Stealth also make chargers that will charge off you cranking battery when running the big motor.

I have a pro xtra II that I may be getting rid of soon. I have a Stay n Charge All Charge sitting in a box in the garage.
I have the pro xtra II mounted in the boat and just haven't paid attention to it. I think its still working and hasn't been a problemn but I need to make sure its working before I sell it.

you have a six or maybe nine amp unregulated alternator...you can hook it up but it won't do much good.
