There will be a weekly Thurday night tournament hosted out of Rockey Creek Marina starting this spring. I dont have the exact details yet as far as times, entry fee, ect. but should have them by the end of this week. Just wanted to go ahead and get the word out for those who may be interested

they will start 3/20

Rules will be simple. $20.00/boat - $5.00/person big bass -everyone in the boat must be in big bass or no one. Fish as many in the boat as is safe. No roll-overs for big bass.
3 fish 14". Times - 6:30pm until 10:00pm. Cannot leave the bouy area until 6:30 and must be inside the bouy by 10:00pm.

I am hoping to have one if the wind will die off just a little. It is forcast to die some by about 5:00pm. May be some will show up, I think I know of 3 that have said they would try to make it.

We had 9 boats last week and I was hoping for more this week until the wind got up. Hendrix rods was talking about giving away a rod to first place if the turnout was at least as good as last week.

i regret that i wont be able to make it tonight, but i will be back out next thursday.

i've only been on the lake twice, but would like to come join you guys. in laws in town this week, but can be there next week. you may have to atleast point me in a fishy direction.

Thinking about joining you guys if my "sponsor" wife gives me a pass. How has the turnout and results been lately?

the first 2 were good,but the past couple have been poor because the weather is scaring folks away.

Looks like it might be a possibility again this week. You and John talk about putting it on Sat mornings? Seems the Saturdays are being really nice.

I still want to fish it, but would like to go out there and practice at least once before I pass my money on lol.

the wind doesnt scare me. john at the marina had to call off the past 2 thursday because of the wind/storm forecast-which is the right this to do. better safe than sorry.

FYI-the lake has come up more than four foot since the storm and appears to still be on the rise. call and check with rocky creek marina at 8173462199 before heading out to see if the tournament will be held.

trying to get an idea of how many are interested in fishing tonight. the wind is going to be up but should die down towards the later afternoon.

just talked to the marina, they plan to have the tournament. need atleast 3 boats.

come on out and fish! dont let the wind scare you off. mother nature has caused the past 3-4 of these tournies to get canceled and its time to get this thing going again. we had a great turn out going until the spring storms started.

fishing time is 6:30-10pm, rocky creek marina is the place.

If anyone is going to fish the Hendrix rod open on the 31th of may, this should be a good way to practice. It looks like this thursday maybe the best weather we have had in a long while. (holding my breath)

I really would like to see a good turn-out before it gets too hot!

yes, there is a curtesy dock you can tie up to and come on up to the marina. hope to see you there.
