I currently have a Lowrance mounted on my bow. I am considering mounting a Humminbird on my console. Can the 2 units operate at the same time, or will they interfere with each other. (FYI...I'm talking about 2D here, not SI).

Thanks.

Should be no problem. I have a Lowrance x85 on the bow and a 522CiGPS on the console that work fine together. Don't know how it might affect side imaging.

If they are both 200 kHz they might cause some interference. You can minimize that with some changes in sens. and ping speed. The deeper you fish the more the soundings will overlap. You can stop the chart on the console unit and it won't ping while you are up front.

Dayne is right. It happens , like to me.

I get interference between the Humminbird 200 kHz on the console/transom transducer and the Lowrance on the bow/TM (200 kHz). I get more interfenernce on the Lowrance than the Humminbird.

It happens when you get about 15 to 20 ft of water or more. Less than 15 no problems.
