There is a picture of me in the PHOTO section of Texas Fishing Forum. I put it in last night. I caught 3 chain pickerel yesterday and two bass. I just have the pic of the bass, it was for the bank competition. I got a 16 inch bass and she was fat and a good fighter...she is in the photo. It is not a good clear photo, it was taken with a cell phone. My daughter's digital camera was out of battery power. So anyway there it is if you want to take a peek.

Okay I decided to put the pic here too. Here is a pic of me in my new waders rotfl...real cute. Oh well, the fish pic was taken for a bank fishing competition. Plus it is the only largemouth bass I ever caught...and probably just about the biggest bass I have ever caught. I have caught some huge crappie, but never the bass. I have also caught some huge sunfish. Oh well this is the beginning of my year for bass! About a month ago I lost a good huge bass at the dam one night. I had it reeled in, and as it was at the bank he jumped off. I was sick....that is the way it goes sometimes isn't it? Yes I know we all have the story of the one that got away. I usually don't have big fish stories. I'm just happy to get keeper size usually... but big ones sure are more fun!

Thanks MsBass...it was so fun. I didn't win the competition. But it was fun. In fact I almost let the fish go, I had forgotten about the competition in all the flurry of fish right before dark. I let the spotted bass go, and then I was talked into keeping this bass. Just at the last minute I remembered about the competition. I said wow I do need to keep it after all. It wasn't as big of a bass as the one I lost at the dam, but it was the biggest bass I ever caught. I don't think I ever caught a largemouth before. Funny I usually get crappie most of the time when I fish. This weekend I targeted chain pickerel, and got a few for the first time ever! Then I targeted bass. (some chain pickerel still decided they wanted my bass lures) I am gonna cook up these chain pickerel before long in a fish fry...if they aren't good or too bony I probably won't target them anymore unless they are strictly catch and release. We kept a few, but let most of them go back.
