Monte, do you know when the central texas trails for 2008 schedules will be posted?

What is the cost for Individual tourn. ?? Do you have to join anything to fish this???

ZX225 you have to be a member of Media Bass which I think last year was $30.00 for the whole year that allows you to fish any of the tournaments they put on from Texas to Arkansas all the way to Florida. The entry fees last year for the individual trail were $75.00. They also have a 2 day end of the year Championship for a boat you have to be in the top 50% of the field to qualify for that event.

We averaged about 60 teams per tournament last year and that was with all the lakes half dry. Next year should provide better fishing and a lot more teams.

Media individual participants are 1 to the boat, with the exception of junior fishermen, who can fish with an adult. There should be more participation with the lakes we are going to be fishing actuallu have water in them now.

Sorry I said teams I acually meant individuals and as goose said the only boats with 2 guys will be the ones that have junior anglers. I can't wait till my boy is ready to get out there and give it a try. Right now he just likes feeding the ducks and is ready to go home after about 2-3 hours.

I would expect to have a good increase in anglers this year as well because we now have plenty of water and a much better selection of lakes.

I week to go I can't wait!!!!

Joe Solis has has lots of plans for the new season this is going to be a great year.

Hopefully we will have good weather on Sunday , it looks like it wont be all that good the rest of the week. But I will be ready also.

I don't care if it's snowing it's been a long winter.

I fished a club tournament this weekend on Lewisville, it was TOO freakin cold to be fishing no matter how long it's been.

On a side not that was the 1st of 32 tournaments for the year. I'm glad it's started.

How did you do?

This weekend will have to be better than last weekend unless the wind blows and it stays cold. Don't know EM very well at all, but I'm ready for the tournament.

There's lots of Docks and Rocks.

That's the tuff part you can fish 100 docks and not get a bite or hit 3 docks and get 15 pounds. I'm looking for those 3 docks.

I just wanted to give KUDO's to Joe for his tournament on Sunday. I know the situation was tough for him and he caught some heat for holding up the launch. But it was the right decision from a safety stand point.

Will Highport Marina be offlimits or can we fish it, if we wanted to?
Where will everyone be staying the night before?

I agree Joe did an oustanding job with the tournament especialy considering the challenges we had. That is the first tournament I have fished that had a fog delay and he handled it very well. The stage area and trailer were awesome as well.

Goose I'm not sure if I'll stay up there or just make the drive the morning of the tournament.

We have Lake Texoma coming up next week.

Will a local win it or one of us from down South?

Has anyone been there and is there anything happening ? I plan on going on Saturday and check things out, hopefully the weather will hold up.

I'll see you there Saturday goose I hope the weather holds out too.

I have not been there in several years so it will be a challenge to say the least. I am looking forward to fishing something different.

highport is off limits

The last time I talked to Joe he said every thing behind the J dock and the gas dock would be off limits and every thing else was good. That was a few days ago and subject to change so I was just wondering if that's the final ruling. Not that I would know where to fish in there anyway.

I talked to Joe last night and Highport Marina is offlimits. They told him that if he was using Highport for headquarters for the tournament, it will be offlimits for anyone in that tournament. Apparently some fisherman sometime or another caused some problem with a tenant, so all of us should pay. They apparently could care less if fishermen use their facilities at all. Oh well, they can't keep me from fishing the marina,but Joe can, he has no choice. BOOOOOOOOOO.
