Well I will speak up too. The family is comming down to the port A area this weekend. We are hitting Mustang Island Friday and fishing till Monday. My dad lives in Ingelside and drives a white ford super cab. On the water he has a G3 center console with a 90 hp yamaha. Please make your self known if you see us and I will keep an eye out for ya'll. I usually post on the stripers and whites but this is a special case. Thanks for the before mentioned hints on what to throw at them. The old man doesn't get out as much as he wants to down there. Look forward to seeing ya.

I allways take 77.

Kolaches in West.....

BBQ in Giddings.....

Tex-Mex in La Grange......

Then there is the dry sausage in Halletsville. (or was that Schulenberg?)

It's all about route planning.

id take 35 to san antonio, the 77 route goes through too many towns for me, and i hate the loop in victoria... seriously, i hate it with a passion. but on the other hand, i just got back from port a/aransas pass, trout and reds are kinda slow, gaffys and whiting are about the only thing of keeping size we caught(which we released because...well they are gaffys and whiting..) with the exception of a 75# black drum(estimate... my scales only go up to thirty)it took 20 minutes to land on 20# braid and broke my metal landing net when we got him close, had to reach down and pull him up by the lip... it was a blast but for the most part everything is still a little slow... and windy...

in aransas pass right before the bridge that takes you past south bay charters(fin and feather or whatever its called) at about 11pm on live shrimp, i was kinda shocked cuz at first i thought it was a ray, instead of cutting it off i decided to keep fightin him ... glad i did. there wasnt too much of a bite out there though with that exception and a few medium size gaffs. but he was released so who knows, he was so worn out after that fight he probably needed a nap... haha i know i did
