Went to bowie for the time last week and caught a 2 3/4 lb.bass on my first cast. Fished another hour and half and had 3 or 4 hits but missed em. Went again this Monday (2-11) and nothing. By the way, where do you guys park when you go there?
I park over on sherry street, next to the house with the boat(his name is Eddy) or go accoss by bowie high school and jump the curve and drive down by the inlet.

I'm new to the Metro Plex, I live in NRH, are there any bass ponds in the North Ft. Worth area? I have fished the lake at Keller Town Center with little success, any suggestions on tactics or new locations will be greatly appreciated.
I doubt that it is public land but I don't know. It looks like people may have been accessing the water on the north side of lake where there is a vacant field between a service station and a motel. I didn't see any keep out signs.
Are you talking about the one on the west side of 820 just north of the Trinity river? If so, I was by there a while back and saw signs that indicated they don't want you there. There is a boat dealer just to the north of the lake and they may either own it or have exclusive rights but I'm not sure.

It is public land. You can park there in the Chamber of Commerce parking lot to fish there. But all the times I have fished it I've drawn a blank. Nothing bites. But then I have heard of other people fish and have caught something. It's usually stocked by the locals around there.

A-RON, I think the one AnglerMoore is talking about is the one at 820 and Denton Hwy. The one on 820 by the Trinity river has private property no trespassing signs all over the place.
