Im looking at getting a handheld GPS. When it comes to a GPS im lost and not sure what to look at. I do know I want one in color and one that I can put navionics on but I dont wanna spend $400. I would like to put a GPS/Sonar on my boat but cant justify putting a $1000 system on a 20 year old boat. Right now im looking at one from Garmin thats been refurbished and carries a factory 1 year warranty. http://garmn.factoryoutletstore.com/details/1764-3477/Refurbished-Units- Homepage-Etrex-Vista-CX.html

Any info on them or the ones to stay away from would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think Navionics chip work on Garmin units.

Aggie_Fisher09 I have a Garmin Etrex LegendC and Love it! I use it for Fishing, traveling, and Hunting. It does auto-routing for driving. Great all in one unit! Next to my Leatherman if is by far, the handiest tool I have ever gotten! When fishing I use it in the lakes, rivers, Bay and Offshore. Like I said, if you are looking for a unit that does everything you cannot go wrong with the Etrex units! I have a lot of the software that can be uploaded to the Etrex. The software gives additional detail and info depending on what you are using it for.
