Well, they are around....but IMHO it's a little early yet for the major movement to the gulf. March is usually the absolute best month for "uglies". Tight lines.

btb at high island this past weekend produced some pretty good reds, and the bu's are starting to show up at the tcd.

the bite at rollover has been slow, but theres been some big trout caught there over the last couple of weeks. try using top waters or crank baits and fish them slow.

Haven't fished rollover lately. We tried the entrance to Moses lake, and the TCD producing a single sheepshead in both trips. Pretty miserable. We are heading to the South Jetty in the morning. We've had a consistent bite over the past 30 days there with plenty of nice slots and a few bulls up to 40". No trout yet although we've found a few flounder. All depends on the water color though, hit or miss lately with the weather constantly changing.

Not sure about this area, but two weeks ago I went to Port O'connor and we caught 40-70lb black drum all day for two days straight. Was an absolute blast especially since my dad and brother caught their first black drum ever and my dad caught the 70lber.

There were several big uglies at the galveston pier today along with a few bull reds. Most of the black drum were caught on dead shrimp. I caught a 32" big ugly on blue crab.
