I normally run a 12p aluminum on my 50hp merc. I went to Cabelas yesterday to buy a new fishfinder, while there I went to the Bargain Cave. There was a CompProp sitting on the shelf NIB marked down to $20, it was a 4 blade 13p. I thought what the hell, could always use a spare prop so I bought it. I put it on my boat to see how it would run and boy was I impressed.

Make no mistake, it is not as good as a stainless prop, but it is far better than a factory alum prop.

Here are my numbers:

10 3/8 X 12p Quicksilver aluminum was 29.4 MPH @ 5500 RPM

10 X 13p 4 blade CompProp was 30.3 MPH @ 5400 RPM.

I would not hestitate to recommend this prop to anyone looking for a good SPARE.
