Me too, just about cant wait, probably myself and my wife, and a 20 foot Carolina Skiff. Will be tossing the nets for Tilapia too.

do we catch the bream and sunfish and we clean them at the spot of what????

We did some of that last year and I think some were caught the day before. There is a cleaning station right next to the dining hall and I saw about 100 bluegills get cleaned just before they hit the hot oil! Now that's what I call fresh!

And the boat ramp is right next to the cleaning station.

I have a hard time planning that far ahead, but it sure sounds like fun to me! I have a state park annual pass, so I may just plan on camping there that weekend, and bring my kayak.

Coach, not a lot of organizing needed. As it gets a little closer to the date, just check the list of who's bringing what and see what you might bring. Post up what you want to bring along for the fish fry and then just show up ready to have some fun and a fantastic meal of some tasty fresh fried bluegill filets! Welcome aboard.

I am ready and fired up for this! We have a place to stay with a friend in Fairfield and I will bring the family. My kids can catch the bream.

I know, I know, it's still a little more than 2 months away, but has anyone given any more thought about getting some T-Shirts made for this GTG for those that are going to show? Getting really pumped on this occasion and never fished Fairfield, but have been there a couple times, but after seeing the size of the bream that family caught this past weekend and the ones that others caught last year, I'm about to go nuts over here waiting.

Maybe my trip to Toledo Bend will get me a little 'at ease' but I haven't caught bream consistantly in that size for years.

I checked on the cost of having t shirts made with "TFF BREAM BUSTI'N FISH FRY" on them. $10.00ea., min order of 25, and they would not put "TFF" on them due to copyright laws. Not knowing exactly how many people will show up I personally don't think it's worth it.
Last year we all wore stick on name tags with our name and our screen name. We will do something like that again this year I'm sure. It was nice too put a face with some of the names I've seen on here over the years. I hope this year will be even bigger.

Well guys and gals, yea, I know, when someone begins a sentence or statement with "Well" nothing good usually comes after. And yes, that's my case, with the gas prices continually increasing, it doesn't look good for me attending the Fish Fry Bream Fishing GTG. I just can't see spending $200-300 for a one day trip and that's not counting boat gas and oil. I have to save as much as I can now days and even had to cancel my week long fishing trip to Toledo Bend just for that same reason.

Hopefully, gas prices and everything else will get better with time and we'll just have to wait and see on that one.

Breambuster, very sorry to hear that but I sure do understand. Lots of folks having to change there summer plans because of these crazy high gas prices. Maybe you can find some good gill fishing close to home.

I've been seeing a few people asking for back seats. I'm in a little 14ft. loan star just big enough for two or three and I have myself +1 so maybe I'll have room for one more. Fishing three from my boat is kinda of a hassle but if the conditions are right and I can anchor up on a spot as I often do than three will be doable. Also I'm shore that their will be others with some extra room.

Coach_Lancaster will have 4 adults and 3 young ones ages 7, 7, and 4
