I will be putting on a Fish-A-Thon at Calaveras Lake on 22 Mar 08. This is not a fishing tournament, but more of a get together/BBQ. Members from two other boards have signed on to attend (Alamo Area Anglers and Texas Kayak Fisherman). I am putting this on to help support the Converse Animal Shelter. Anyone is welcome to come, even if you don't donate to the Animal Shelter, but you must bring a donation to be eligible for the drawings.

Time: 0700 - 5pm (some will probably camp that evening)

My intention is to get donations to support the Converse Animal Shelter (no-kill shelter), so donations will be appreciated.

Those that donate will be eligible for the prizes (drawing). Come on out for some food, fishing and a good time. Bring your own drinks and there will be plenty of food, but bring something for the BBQ if you can. I will be cooking up a shrimp boil.

Prizes are: Four tickets to the Spurs Vs Clippers on 26 March. Will be raffled as two prizes (Donated by the San Antonio Spurs); Scotty Fly Rod Holder, ACK T-shirts, Paddle Leash and an Air Line Seat Cushion (Donated by Austin Canoe and Kayak).

I will try to narrow down our location on the lake as we get closer.
