Congrats and great job! Wow...that must be great! How do these YFT tastes? I've never fished for one and never tasted one. Question, did the deckhands clean the YFT and if so, did they filet them or just cut them in steaks? I'm pretty new to tunas and tuna fishing.

Many thanks to Willie/ Texas Outdoor Organizers for another great trip in the TFF Tuna series.. Seis Tuna was a complete Blast!

Kudos to the Crew of the DSH Gulf Eagle.. Capt Keith and Nate kept us on the fish.. Deck Hands Clint and Miles kept the fish we hooked coming over the rails. We continue to be impressed with their work ethic and Can Do Attitude... they worked their tails off to make this a great memory. These guys are so good they even put us on Topwater YFT in the Day Light 2 PM in the afternoon! Miles we hope your busted eye heals up real soon Bro!

Gulf Eagle Deck Hand Miles said he had never seen a group of fisherman work together as a team like our TFF Guys.. we worked together like a well oiled machine.

Great to meet Rabidus, Special K and his Dad, our two Montana Cowboys Jerry and Jim were a hoot! Imagine two guys who's Idea of fishing is soaking Minners for Walleye when they hooked their first YFT over 70#

Skeeter Ronnie actually stayed awake and caught his first YFT's on Topwater Poppers! Red Ranger and Fishbrain were a blast and became Tuna Killers by the end of their first trip.

The decks hands didnt clean them but a bunchof us had the fish house at the dock clean them.
They just get the loins cut out for you and let you handle it from there. I just got done eating fresh as can be Sashimi and seared Yellowfin steaks. I almost always eat Yellowfin cooked rare.
It doesnt really get any better than YFT. I tried some of the skipjack also and it is pretty darn good as sushi!

Well you're a lot closer to Port A than the DFW crew I hang with.
I think we got Randy and Jack hooked on Tuna.. Jack says Bass Fishing will never be the same after YFT.

Keep an Eye Out for other trips.. TOO has a few other dates reserved for DSH this year besides the TFF Tuna 7 trip. You will also see some posts wanting memebrs to fill an offshore crew from time to time.

Bass are wimpy.

BTW, just vacuum-packed about 100 pounds of tuna. I peppered and pan-seared one smaller chunk, since I'm leaving town again tomorrow and won't have time to eat 'em until Saturday. Deeeelliiiccciioouuss!
