I have a Lowrance 332 at the console and I am replaceing it with the 28HD. The power wires and the sonar will work with the 28hd but the GPS wire is different because it is a NMEA 2000 and the 28HD has a NMEA3000. On the 332 I have an external temp sensor that conects to a buss. will this work with the 28hd. Nothing on Lowrance web site about this.

I have a 127 in the front that I am going to replace with the 332. There is a wire that runs back to the console that splits into the console unit. does this mean I will have gps if I hook the 332 up on the front.. Nothing on the Lowrance web site about this either.

I am soooooo confused. There are wires that run togather then split apart then conect to another set of wires then back to a single wire. i can network 50 computers and not have any problems but this is over my head for sure.. If I can ever fix all this I will be drawing some scamatics for all the wires that I ran.

I think I'm going to go have drink and not think about this for awhile!!!!!

Go to Lowrance.com and search for network. Look at NMEA 2000 Network Expansion Cable and 120-Ohm Terminato...

Contact Linda to find out what adapters you may need for the LGC-2000 or LGC-3000 which ever you choose to use.

I did the same thing. Changed the Console from LMS-332 to LCX-27. I continued to use the LGC-2000 (gps reciever) that was already there and got an adaptor cable to connect the new LCX-27 to the old LGC-2000.

Call Lowarance and talk about that, they can send that to you.

Also your next issue is to connect the two units together and share the LGC-2000.

See:

There is two ways to connect/network the two units. I went with the simple and cheaper - just wire then togehter (NMEA-0183) versus the NMEA-2000 network cables approach.
