Dont wait for the warm just hit it when the wind is calmer. This is a good time to fish!

here is your port aransas/aransas pass report went over the weekend landed about a dozen specs all less than 15inches was going to lighthouse lakes and tide was too low even for yakers went on other side and green water was almost to the shoreline with great weather but no keepers. some people told me about small reds near the island but most locals reported to me that they have not seen fishing this bad in this area in a long time.HAD TO DO A RESCUE THIS WEEKEND AS WELL.i posted that in kayak area in this web site

Hey Jeff, I have a 21 ft triton (freshwater only) But also have a 46 ft ocean Yacht set up for the offshore thing if I want to go. She is moored at Island mooring Yacht Club. Give me a shout sometime and we will fire that girl up and go.

It's sad to see the fishing report so dismal. I am heading there next weekend to try my luck!

BlueWave, I am doing a whole lot of work on her right now, before the season really gets to going, new heads, new fresh water pump, new cooktop stove ( for Mamma of course) 2 new refrigerators, new fighting chair, bottom cleaning, and a whole lot of cleaning to do. Take a little while for all that but it is going to be real nice when all is done. Let's try to set something up a little later, O. K. Mike

Hey, Tritondaddy, I thought you were a bass fisherman. I hope you use your salt water equipment this weekend at Athens. That will open the door for the rest of us. They don't hit wacky worms at Athens so you better try something new. Tom V.

Hey Tommy, Thought about using her on Athens if the wind was up. And FYI they do hit the wacky on Athens. See ya at the ramp.

Loc: Arlington,Tx by way of CC
Went down to Aransas Channel the friday before Easter, got there around 1:30, got bait, launched and headed over to Corpus Christi Channel, fished some small guts coming off the flats draining into the channel, my buddy hooked into two nice slot reds after a couple of hours, and his wife picked up a nice flounder. Sat morning tried same areas but no action, fished Hog Island, picked up a rat red, but that was it, moved over to Morris Cummings cut, tried the guts draining B&R flats, no action, one small flounder, went back to CC Channel and gave it a go one more time, My buddy's wife picked up another two slot reds, I missed one. Moved to Aransas channel and picked up a couple of school trout on the dropoff. And thats all she wrote.......Maybe I'll get back my Mojo next trip...
