Went there many years ago and stayed at an all inclusive place. Be careful eating salad or fresh uncooked vegies outside your hotel. Assuming the hotel has a purified water system. Be sure and take some Lamotil just in case you get an attack of Montizuma's revenge. Didn't do any fishing.

Can be a very good offshore fishery, lots of sailfish and some stripes in late fall, January and February. Summertime is excellent for blue marlin and GIANT yellowfin out at Corbatina (rock island about 50 miles out). Summer is also excellent for Dorado at times. I would expect March to be somewhere in between. Try to find a boat that will take you fishing for sailfish, and will get you on some roosters along the beaches. My contact left last year, so I don't have a name for you. However I would expect to pay $350 to $450 for an 8 hour trip. I would try to get a day in if you have a chance. PV is a great destination. Have fun!

Josh Temple is a great charter captain in PV. You can't go wrong with him.

I've been fishing in PV twice over the last couple of years, and I know it may sound odd, but we an absolute great time fishing with a company called Masterbaiters. they are located in the marina area, and you can't miss them. we bought an eight hour trip, and fishing wasn't so good that day, but our captain and deck hand kept us out until we caught fish. We ended up fishing for almost 11 hours, but ended up with two Marlin. One striped, and one blue. I couldn't tell who had more fun, us or the crew. They were a complete blast. The second time i went, it was horrible. Captain had no interest in catching anything and basically took us for an expensive boat ride. That wasn't with Masterbaiters. If you go, ask for Jose. He was just a deckhand at that time, but was acting as our captain that day because they had a shortage of captains, and I would be surprised if he isn't a captain by now. experience of a lifetime for me. Good luck.
