I would say the high bridge is a little over 50 miles from diablo by water. Not a bad boat ride.Be careful @ Rio grande pecos intersection usually lots of floating logs, cane other debri.I havent been there this year though.

Has the length limit gone up on Amistad?

My partner and I are coming up to fish next weekend. I've heard it's been tough lately. Any bass fishing advice would be worth a couple of brewskis at Lorenas or your fav watering hole. No, we're not fishing any tournys.

ristorap,
I could not of said it better myself.
I like the Bassmasters Elite but I wish they would not televise Amistad!!! They should stay in California or the deep south.

Ejw,
I bet this year Amistad will lose a little glory to her neighbor to the south. The falcon tourney will be televised first.Im not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing for us texas fisherman.I must admit, since Amistad is my home,I look forward to a little less pressure on Amistad.I am guessing Falcon will take a little over 100 lbs to win the elite series.Amistad somewhere around 65 lbs this year.Just a guess.

Anyone know the dates for the B.A.S.S. Falcon and Amistad tournements? I'm too lazy to look them up!

Bass is at Falcon 4/3-4/5. At Amistad 4/10-4/13. Should be interesting. I think 65Lbs on Amistad is a light guess. But, you never know. Falcon may well be 110lbs or better. Possible record. Get ready for increased attention and pressure on that lake...

Amistad will crank out 100+ lbs in April.
