Couldn't have said it better myself, Risto.

The fish are there, always have been always will be. You just have to be good enough to find them, or there often enough to stay on em. By the way, I'm neither...lol.

It's is still very good. The thing is, the fish have adjusted but the fishermen haven't. Less grass doesn't mean the fish die off, they just move, and you have to figure out where they moved to.
I fished 4 hours last Saturday. Like was said above, there was almost zero wind which is usually bad. I caught 12 keepers in 3 1/2 hours and numerous non-keepers. Biggest fish was 9-2 on my digital scales. I showed J.C. the picture so he can vouch for me. My best 5 would have gone about 21-22 pounds and I'm no local pro. So the moral of the story is this, the fish are still there but you have to change your tactics from the last several years if you want to catch them. Think outside the box and don't listen to the local dock talk and you will be fine.

A rod and reel ;\)

Seriously, I'll say this, big baits are fine if they are eating, but don't be afraid to downsize if they aren't. Clear as mud, right ?? \:\)

If you have a chance, you should drive over that bridge. It is WILD !!!! You won't think that you are in Texas.
