This year(due to discussion about last year's CAGI, the event has been split into categories to cover those that want a serious national venue competition, and those that see the CAGI as a social event.

In Texas, we've always been focused on the socializing, but I know there are some competitive itches that need to be scratched. We've got enough folks that will want to participate, so let's open up discussion about the CAGI in General- Competitive Location possibilities, Social Location possibilities...Whatever.

I'm picturing having a social event somewhere we haven't tapped, and then a Competitive location where we figure we'll be able to win the National competition. For the competitive venue, we need discussion about what we feel will be the best strategy- Lots of small fish/Just enough Big Fish...What location gives us the best advantage? Keep in mind, LadyBird Lake is not an option- CAGwise, that's reserved(unofficially) for the ATC. Somewhere like Joe Pool where we can haul a metric ton of 2-6 pounders may be the way to go.

Think about it, and we'll see what we can do.

Here's the CAG Forum CAGI Announcement- Check it out.
