Well, just got back. All I can say is it was S-L-O-W. I only saw one crappie come up from 5:00-9:30 and it was a throwback. I got one bite on a small live shad, but I screwed up hooking it. Was probably a throwback though.

Catfish were slow but decent. Saw about 3-5, up to a 4 pound, channels pulled on blood DK's punch bait out on the side the boat slips used to be. Otherwise the only thing bitin' were bream (big and consistent but deep, in the crappie and unnamed well) so I ended up just netting a bucket full of shad to freeze for when the blues move shallower.

The shad were everywhere under the lights, eating little shrimp. The crappie are definitely around and eating those shad, they are just real slow.

Don't give up, Mason. The blues are bitin those shad. The Lewisville Barge is a goldmine. It takes a while to learn how to fish it, though. Good luck. Keep fishin it.
