I made a mistake of buying some "Catfish Nuggets" at Walmart. I was in a hurry and didn't read the package. The picture on the package shows some nice frozen breaded catfish pieces. Imagine my surprise when I opened the packaged and found catfish belly meat with the skin still on. Any recipes for this stuff that usually ends up in the dumpster?

Hey I'm not kidding about what was in that package of so called "catfish nuggets". Surely some one has some kind of recipe for catfish belly meat with the skin on.

If you scrape off the gray membrane and all the fat, you can use the meat in a gumbo or chowder and it aint too bad.

next trip to Galveston--cut them up and pretend they are gray squid bellies.

Fried flat head belly meat is the best there is if prepared wright doesn't sound like yours was and the bigger the belly the better. If it's not white it comes off
