I know they aren't. Why would you say "here's all the fish that I've caught in ALLEN" if it was really in plano?

Oh well...

I went fishing yesterday for about 90 minutes but caught nothing but leaves lol. Maybe tomorrow I'll get the chance to get back out.

Google earth is a powerful tool. There is more than enough info in that video to track down its location if you want to spend a little time working on it.

A lot of those fish were moved from Bethany Lakes to that one during the spawn.

Good to know. I wasn't sure how they made it to that pond. I wasn't able to make it out there today. Tomorrow my schedule is clear in the afternoon. Looks like I'll get a few hours in.
Anybody else get out today? IF so, how did you do?

Took the wife to the "Secret fishing spot in plano" lol today. The bite was really slow. Saw several bass, missed a few and my wife managed to hook up with a 1 pounder. She said she didn't even feel the fish pick up her plastic worm. I missed 2 on a shortened leader c-rig. All other baits did not produce at all. This means crankbaits, spinnerbaits, swimbaits and rattle traps produced nothing.

I have found waterbirds like cormorands point to a place where the shad often pass by,and the bigger fish will be in the same area.

Hi blooper961, makes sense. In Bethany's case, Cormorant tend to clean out the Trout in short order once they arrive. Have not seen them in large numbers yet, so there still may be a chance to catch Trout.

Did stop by later in the early evening and saw a few Trout rising at sundown. They may be spooked though; no bites on bread. Did catch a few more Bluegill usng the Tenkara Rod and a weighted Nymph. Today's Pictures.

Fished the Slip-Bobber Rig and used Bread for bait at Celebration Park this evening. Caught a few Bullheads but did see another fisherman catch a nice Catfish using Hot Dogs! Easily made the COAF Leader Board for 2012. Today's Pictures.

Made a homemade Bobber in hopes of a more sensitive one than the one used last night. Tested it at Celebration Park and caught several light striking baby Bluegill. Guess it worked! Today's Pictures.

Fished Waterloo at Denison today for Trout. Posted the outing on the Trout Thread. Did stick around after limiting out and fished for the little Bluegill for fun! Caught and released a number of little ones. Also, caught and released a fish that looked like a "Minnow/Shad". Measured about 4" in size.

I fished the trout derby at Waterloo yesterday.
I caught my limit but did not win.
The bait of choice yesterday was meal worms.
No fly fishing with 80 folks around that little pond.

I went back today and caught a limit on #12 olive wooly buggers using the 2wt fly rod.
Cleaned them and put them in the smoker. Mmmmm mmmmmm good!!! grill
