The city of Plano is trying to get Stoney Hollow designated as a CFL. If they do TPWD will stock it. I fished it one day and only caught some dink BG.
I fished Brekenridge Park in Richardson Saturday and caught some monster sunfish and a medium sized channel cat. Fished the big pond and the L shaped one that runs under Renner.

Good info Rev TCF. There are some Bruisers in Stoney Hollow, just seem to be tough to catch right now. FYI: Did stop be the Harrington Park in Plano and fished the creek for Sunfish and Perch. The fish are in their nests and are readily striking fishing flies. Sampling of Today's Catch

It's been a tough go trying to hook into some Bruisers. But, the little ones help pass the time. FYI: Fished Bethany Lakes this evening and caught mainly Bluegill and a little Bass. Today's Pictures.

Tried a Streamer in size 10 this evening at Bethany Lakes. More Bluegill and little Bass. Still was not bad for a short 30" trip.... Today's Pictures

Hi marked131, tried bigger flies; has been a tough sell so far. Did fish Bethany Lakes this morning. Caught a number of small fish with a few larger Sunfish. Did get several Bruisers chasing my fishing fly but no takers as of yet. Today's Pictures

Have you tried the fly that you caught the 7lber on? The fishing seems to be tough for lmb right now. I've gone out with my baitcaster and fly rod and I've come up short

If you get up to Denison/Sherman area anytime soon.......try drifting right down the middle of Waterloo Lake in Denison!
Grandson and I used to do it in my old Jon Boat. We Carolina rigged earthworms and would catch 3 or 4 channel catfish eaters from the dam to the south end each drift.
We would do this after catching a TUB FULL of big bream in the south cove. That cove is full of stumps and has bass and bream galore.

marked131, have tried it but no luck yet with the Bruisers. Did try a Red and White Clouser (Size 4) this evening and hooked a ~12" Bass. Not a Bruiser but bigger than the little Bass we have been catching on the Leech Streamer. Today's Picture

Thanks for the info chuckwagon. Have been to Waterloo to fish for Trout in the small pond during the Winter. Main lake looks promising but have not fished it as of yet. Will have to keep it in mind next time we are up there. FYI: Did fish Bethany again this morning. This time went with a Bead Head Leech Streamer. Caught two Bass and a Sunfish. Today's Pictures

Stopped by the feeder creek that runs into Bethany Lakes this morning. Tied on a Bead Head Leech Streamer and soon after landed a little Bass. Then, lost a bigger Bass, then caught some Bluegill and Sunfish. Surprised the shallow water held so many fish.... Today's Pictures

Went back to Bethany again with another variation of the Homemade Doughbait to test. Caught more Catfish with the largest going 17" in size. While unhooking the 17" Catfish, looked up and saw a four foot Water Snake had worked its way out of the water and was about 2 feet away from me eyeing the Catfish. Today's Pictures

I came face-to-face with a bobcat while bank fishing today. I came around a tree line, and the big kitty appeared about 10 yards from me. It looked at me for a few seconds, but thankfully it just trotted away.

I went to the long skinny pond that runs under renner rd at breckenridge park. Caught a 2 lb cat and a 4lb cat. Saw a 15lb(estimate) carp just leisurely eating right at the bank. I had corn but they weren't biting last night...

Stopped by Brockdale Park at Lake Lavon to checkout the action on the Point. Water level was low with minimal activity observed. Moved on to the East Pond at Celebration Park; caught several 16" Catfish, else it was small Bullheads. Sampling of Today's Catch.
